This was my interpretation of the book "The Insect Crisis: The Fall of the Tiny Empires That Run the World" by Oliver Milman. Though I didn't read the book, I visualized how the illustrations should appear. Immediately, I felt the insects needed to be larger, emphasizing the connection between them and the girls. The imagery should exude romance, subtly weaving a thread of love between them. Each illustration would capture the delicate yet profound bond shared between humanity and the miniature creatures that inhabit our world. Through subtle cues and gentle portrayals, the illustrations would convey the quiet yet profound connection between beings great and small, transforming the pages into a visual ode to this enchanting harmony.
