This raw artwork is inspired by my personal growth over the last decade, exploring the interplay between an individual and the inner critic, visualized here as a dance with an ethereal and somewhat monstrous figure. In order to survive life, one must accept, acknowledge and dance with the inner critic to embrace its existence. The image employs fluid, swirling motions and a spectral blend of colors to represent the often unseen struggle with self-doubt and internal conflict. I used more of a raw photograph with a long exposure effect to add the feeling of motion. This piece invites viewers to reflect on their own inner critics and consider the power of facing and integrating these aspects of themselves in their personal journeys.
